Welcome to another Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound.......
Today I am sharing a very simple project, all from recycled items I had in the Shoppe.
Firstly, there was this gorgeous pink organza blouse I bought at a local thrift shop.
I liked it because of all the embroidered designs and the little rhinestones....
But mostly because it was $3.00.
I simply started cutting squares in whatever sizes I could from the front of the blouse, allowing the back of the blouse to also be the back of the sachets.
I didn't worry too much about neatness as that is corrected later in the project.
I sewed three sides of the front and back together forming a pocket of sorts.
daughter's wedding,
Which was almost three years ago, and filled the individual organza bags.
I used the "burnt edge technique" to finish off the organza, giving them a funky finished edge.I added some of the little organza roses Audrey of Mlle de Sombreuil makes and sells inside my Shoppe, and they were complete....
They complete the beautiful look and smell delicious........and soon to be in my Etsy Shoppe.......
(sorry, I just can't resist a shameless plug)
Thank you for stopping by my Pink Saturday today...

Oooo Jana,
ReplyDeleteThe little sachets are just so sweet and so pretty. I've made little sachets, but mine weren't as pretty as yours. The roses added so much..I just love them.
Happy Pinks and have a lovely weekend.
I love the little sachets you created from a blouse. The fabric is lovely and I'm glad that you found a way to recycle it. The dried roses are the crowning touch.

If they smell half as good as they look, they should be flying out of your shop!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm still using and loving that glorious soap I won from you last year. This gal knows how to make stuff that smells DIVINE, people! Take my word for this!
Have a great weekend!
