There is a wonderful story behind the Victorian cones whereby they were filled for the children by Santa on Christmas Eve. They started in Germany and the idea was quickly adopted by the Victorians because they adored everything "new", and this was a novel idea for them to use in decorating their Christmas Trees. The cones I make are from old screen scrunched with a rolled top edge and wire rounded hanger. Some have been painted, while others have been left plain. I especially love the small ones I am giving away for November because they look beautiful on the tree or hung on a door or cabinet knob with anything from flowers to lace to candy or roses. Each is hand made so they vary somewhat in size, but the winner will receive FIVE cones to paint any color they choose. They will come to you a rustic brown and can be used exactly as received if desired, and measure anywhere from 9" to 13" not including the handle. Two of my favorites are shown because, after all, I love pink and adore cream. To be entered simply:

In this land of blogging, and with all the wonderful people out there, my goal is to reach as many as I possibly can.......perhaps it will make up for the eight months I blogged without any followers or comments at all. Didn't know about the "networking thing" then, but I had fun putting it out there....kinda of like a public diary of sorts :) The winner will be drawn on December 1st and the cones will arrive just in time for your Christmas fun........All of you are the very best and I cannot believe the support and friendship I have found through this venue.......You have got to just love blogging!!!!!
