Remember House in the Fall........

I couldn't resist snapping a few quick shots of my front yard this morning as I left for the shoppe. It seems the leaves have taken over and it is only two trees that have lost them.....we have alot more to go. As the nights get cooler, the remainder of the trees will turn yellow to rust and we have a mini "New England" fall. Those of you who live in that area, don't laugh at me. I was based in Boston for three years and know the beauty you experience each and every fall and am in no way comparing this to yours, but it is "ours" and we do love it. Also, for those of you who think I don't celebrate Halloween, just know I absolutely adore the fall and don't rush the season for Christmas........this is my favorite time of the year!

Don't forget to join my monthly giveaway and comment, follow, or share my giveaway on your blog for extra chances.........xo jana

As you leave my drive and wind around the street to the exit to the "world".
Where I call home......I grew up here and still have the wonderful privilege of it being my home having bought the house from my mother over 25 years ago.....it is named "Remember House", but that's another post :)

Well, it's not like I don't know what I will be doing this weekend.....yikes, and this is just the beginning of the falling leaves!

It's not like I'm claiming to be Johnny Appleseed or anything like that, but I grew this divine huge tree from an acorn........a tiny little acorn!

And this one, too!

  3. Beautiful pictures. I don't mind raking leaves if it's nice out and the leaves are dry, which rarely happens up here in Washington! Have fun with your leaves!

  5. Jana ~ I love those pumpkin pictures. Maybe I'm like you - I don't like or celebrate Halloween - don't like jack '0 lanterns but love pumpkins - just plain pumpkins. They make me happy just to look at them.

You seem to have a wonderful setting there for your home. I am astounded that the humongous tree grew from your little acorn. Obviously I know that is how it grows - that's the seed. Just wouldn't picture the tree getting so big. When did you plant the acorns? Was it before or after you bought the house from your mother?

    Enjoyed your little outdoor tour...

  6. Jana,
Love the yard. Your house is kind of a mystery, you don't show too much. When you do it's great. Love the big trees and look of the house. I'll bet the inside is amazing! Lisa
