I Love Antique and Vintage Linens.......

I have so many linens that they are very difficult to keep straight.
At one point, I had someone wash and iron all of them,
Measure them, bag them, and tag them.
But then who wants to look at antique and vintage linens through plastic?
I know I don't.
I want to touch them, feel them, and inspect them.

That's why over the course of the last week I started working on this
Specific area of the Shoppe.
I had them all in the same display cabinet and
Believe me, they were an absolute mess.
Customers didn't put them back on the right shelf,
Opened them and mixed them all up.

Then I got another cabinet and decided to sort them.
One cabinet will hold all the bed linens, with the exception of the quilts.

And that's because I have over sixty to display and choose from.
So they have an area all their own.....

But this is where I am removing the bed linens and
Planning on having just table linens here.
I will be able to remove the plastic and
Give them more importance and ROOM.

And the new display area for all the bed linens,
From pillowcases, to bed sets, to bedspreads and coverlets.
Still alot to do, but it's coming right along
(sometimes I feel like everything in my life is "coming right along",
and I know I will be happy when something is finally finished :)

Since so much pink jumped out at me when I took a final
Look at the pictures,
I just had to share today with Pink Saturday at Beverlys...

And, if this is your first time here and choose to follow....
Please know I always follow back :)

Have a beautiful weekend.

  1. Your linens look wonderful displayed this way. I love linens, but the washing and ironing......not so much!

I agree with you about the 'tcuching'. There's nothing like the feel of vintage fabrics...

    Have a wonderful weekend,

I love linens and what I wouldn't give to go through your stash! Your shop looks wonderful and I know I could spend hours in there just looking and oohing and ahhing!

I've got some catching up to do here on your blog, I think I've missed a few posts, so I'm off to nose around.

  5. Oh Jana, your shop looks like vintage linen heaven. I know what you mean. I have piles of them...they're taking over! Your rescued puppies and their Momma are beautiful. Their faces remind me of a golden retriever, and their white coats are lovely. What breed are they? They'll have a much better life now that they're in the care of a loving person. Have a wonderful weekend! Terri

  10. They are beautiful, but I don't envy you the task of keeping them under control - it's hard enough at home, in our own cupboards without randoms strangers rifling through them. I see it all the time in our local 2nd hand shop. But they do all look so lovely.

  16. Beautiful! I have a thing for vintage linens myself, especially doileys and embroidery. I can't imagine trying to keep them neat and organized with customers looking though them but you are right, you gotta touch them! Nice post.

  17. Jana, I would say your are moving along nicely. It's all so pretty and romantic, I would love to come in and see it all in person. I know it must seem like play instead of work being around so many pretty things.
    Happy Pink Saturday, Char
