Mosaic Utility Cart and What Would YOU Do?

I have had this metal vintage 40's utility cart for years....
I originally just painted it white and let it "roll"....
no pun intended :)

Needless to say, no one came along and just had to have it.
Being the type that never, ever gives up on anything,
knowing that if I originally loved the piece, that
I would always love the piece, and
Eventually someone else would as well....it's all about patience.

That doesn't, however, keep me from reinventing it to
Help that process along.....

Now, I'm not sure who took the simple task of
Hitting old china with a hammer and just gluing it in place to a place making me actually think,
BUT someone did, making it a true art form....
And a much more time consuming task.

Still, I can hang with the best of 'em, so that's what I do.

It has a top and bottom shelf, and
Of course, both had to be done.

I always tell customers they are taking a bit of my DNA
home with my projects, as I refuse to wear gloves....
and always have a few cuts along the way,
not to mention really bad nails.

Then there is this piece.....
A wonderfully old wooden framed mirror
which is broken and must be removed.

It is old, however, with the mirror inside
I think it looks like a Hobby Lobby piece....
and I don't like that.
I want to take it to a different place, but am
not sure where that is.

Do I do a majestic mosaic inside....
Do I paint a wonderful French chocolate sign....
Do I just do another mirror knowing someone will like Hobby Lobby....

What do you think?  What should I do?
Can't get a real handle on this one.

Thanks for stopping by today,
You know I love it when you come.

This week I'm linking to the following parties....
There's always a lot going on so check them out.

  1. Go over to Craptastic and see what Katie just did with an old mirror with an acid wash and fabric. I think it would apply here.

The mosaic table? I would give it away to a good friend who could really use it. You might be done with it, but maybe someone would really use it. Have a great day!

  2. Hi Jana,
The little mosaic tiered shelf looks so pretty! I haven't tried doing this yet, but give me time! LOL!
I hate that when I'm not sure what to do with a piece. But, I really like the style and shape of the mirror. I say paint it and sell it!

  8. I just love the shape of the mirror, and depending on its size, I could see it with cork board and holding some vintage chains and pins.
    Hugs,
