It's difficult to believe it has been almost two weeks since I last posted....
I made the decision to keep a steady pace going in preparation for the
Dallas Flea which was this past weekend.
You don't realize how much time can be spent taking pictures, posting to a blog and moderating comments as well, and when time is precious.....well, blogging lost the battle.
The "off-campus" sale was something I had never done before.....
It seems to serve no purpose to take all of your things somewhere else.
When you have a beautiful store in which to sell them.
BUT, I did, and I have not worked that hard in a long time.
The sale was located on the main floor of the old Sears building near Downtown Dallas.
There are condos on the upper floors and is a very trendy area.
Our booth was 15x7' and we had no trouble filling it to the brim.
It looked like a little version of my Shoppe....
It's impossible to get away from who you are.
But the sale was fun and so worth it.
I was able to make numerous contacts and obtain special orders
for some of my clothing.....
Which was really the whole point in setting up.
Which was really the whole point in setting up.
The jury is out on whether I will ever do anything like this again......
But it was a good day!
The Trade Days is coming up October 23rd,
So I am off to making sure that is a success.
There's just no rest for the weary...and that would be me!
Thanks for stopping by today.....
I always love it when you come.
I must applaud your efforts. I cannot imagine doing all that work for a show, but it sounds as though it was worth it! Your space looked wonderful and I'm glad you got orders for your fashions.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back to the land of blog!

Your booth really did look like a mini-version of your shop! I knew people would love your clothing♥
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat for those who attended the show. It really is a big effort to set up in a temporary location. You must be exhausted, but I must say the setup looks divine! As I was reading this post, your message came to my email....thank you for visiting my niche in blogland and for your kind comment. Have a great week! ~ Angela
